About Emily Jackson
I am a Registered Social Worker with my Master of Social Work, specialization in Clinical Social Work. I have worked within the social service field, specifically with children with disabilities and their families, for over 20 years. Within my private practice I specialize in working with families and individuals raising a child with a disability. I am passionate about helping parents work through the grief and loss process, as well as, adjustment to a diagnosis
I also support clients from the LGBTQIA2+ community. I offer a safe space to explore relationships, sexuality, and gender.
I live in Calgary with my partner and two wonderful daughters.

Training
Although I have trained as a generalist I have experience working with trauma, EMDR, attachment based theories, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy and in mental health settings. I am a Level 1 certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and EMDR trained.
Therapy sessions are strengths based and are tailored to the needs of each specific clients; therapeutic approaches will reflect the outcome and goals of each individual.
